Proud owners of this fine breeding ranch, Aase and
Duane Frederick have been breeding and selling "fine
homegrown alpacas" since 2000. Starting off their
alpaca adventure in Creston, a tiny town in the Central
Coast area of California, we decided to move to Yreka in
2003, mainly to get away from the high heat Summers of the
Paso Robles Wine Country! We were so blessed and lucky
to have found this little gem of a ranch, situated on 25
acres of pasture and oak trees, just outside the city limits
of Yreka, which is located in Siskiyou County (in Northern California).
Our ranch is located just off Hwy I-5 - half-way
between Mount Shasta in California and Ashland
in Southern Oregon.

Located in one of the most scenic areas in all of California
and almost in the shadow of majestic MT Shasta, the climate
and altitude (about 2600 ft) is ideal for alpaca farming -
not too hot in the Summer and not too cold in the Winter.
Close to wonderful camping and fishing locations - think
Klamath River! All in all it is a wonderful place to
live the "small town" life we love so much now and yet, we
are only 40 miles away from the culture and ambience of
famous Ashland in Oregon and, if you head South, you
are in the Mt Shasta ski area.
We currently have about sixty alpacas on our place, a few
are boarders and some are being brokered. Our
own herd runs around fifty, give or take... this year we are
lucky enough to have produced a cria crop of eleven little
proud and gorgeous cria, some lovely girls and some
some very nice potential Jr Herdsires!
Our
alpacas have the color and the genetics everyone is looking for:

Pictured below is Hemingway "Tennessee's Jason of Argonaut". Watch for him and his
proud new owners, Rick and Cindy Shipley of Argonaut
Farms (just South of Yreka in Grenada) they plan on showing
him off on the "Show Circuit" in 2008.
Tennessee's Amber Joy

"Tennessee's Amber Joy" (born in June of 2007)
and ready to breed.
Tennessee's Amber Joy is a very cute girl now almost two years old,
and proof of Hemingway Tennessee's ability, as a National
Champion Herdsire, to pass on His amazing brightness and other
unique fleece traits. Check her out on our AlpacaNation page -
pick your own herdsire or let me pick one of EBA Oaks Alpacas "men".
Pick your own and the price goes to $12,000 versus the $15,000
listed. We offer no interest terms and free agisting for 4
months, after proof of pregnancy.

We love ranch visits!
If you are
heading up or down Highway 5 and want to stop in to
admire both scenery and the animals... please do, we love to talk
"alpaca"!
